Parkdean Resorts has invested a lot in its four Isle of Wight holiday parks in the last couple of years. We’ve done some digging around and have figured which are the newest luxury lodges and dog friendly caravans at their sites at Lower Hyde, Landguard, Nodes Point and Thorness Bay Holiday Parks. My advice is to look out for these newest properties when you are booking. Personally, I rank the age of a caravan or lodge as one of the key factors when I’m deciding which one to book. New luxury Lodges at Parkdean Resorts for 2023Parkdean Resorts' newest luxury lodges at its Isle of Wight resorts can be found at Nodes Points. They are called the St Helens Lodges and the Yaverland Lodges. The Yaverland Lodge is a three bedroom lodge which sleeps six people, including a double bed and two rooms which each have two single beds. It is a dog friendly lodge. You get quite a few upgrades compared to a basic caravan. The width is 21 foot, whereas standard caravans range from 10-14 foot. This extra space will be very welcome if you are filling up the caravan with several teenagers! You also get a fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher – all of which are hard to come by at holiday parks. One bedroom has an ensuite and it has USB charging points. Overall, you’re getting about twice as much space as some small caravans. The St Helens Lodge has the same amount of overall space but it is a two bedroom lodge. One bedroom has a double bed whilst the other has two single beds. As with the Yaverland Lodge, you get a dishwasher, a veranda/balcony and a fridge freezer .You get a washer dryer instead of a washing machine, which I consider to be a modest upgrade. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite bedroom and shower. That means you have two bathrooms between four people, so there’s not much risk of a queue forming in the morning! Overall, I would say that the St Helen’s Lodge is slightly more spacious than the Yaverland Lodge but both are a big upgrade on a basic caravan. New dog friendly accommodation at Parkdean Resorts on the Isle of WightThere’s plenty of dog friendly accommodation at Parkdean Resorts on the Isle of Wight but the newest ones can be found at Nodes Point. They are called the Yarmouth caravan and they sleep up to eight people. You get a double bed, two rooms which each have two beds and a sofa bed in the lounge. The Yarmouth caravan isn’t as spacious as a lodge but it can be great value and there are several upgrades which you don’t get in a lot of caravans. For example, you get a fridge freezer for storing holiday ice creams (a lot of caravans just provide a fridge). You also get an extra toilet, USB charging points and a heated towel rail. These dog friendly caravans were added to Nodes Point in 2022. As mentioned earlier, the Yaverland Lodge is also dog friendly. Other new accommodation at Parkdean Resorts on the Isle of WightThere are three other grades of caravan which are new to Parkdean Resorts in the last couple of years. None of these are dog friendly – although I personally see that as a plus point as I don’t have a dog myself! The three newest names to look for include Longboard caravans at Lower Hyde Holiday Park, Yew caravans at Landguard Holiday Park and Squadron caravans at Thorness Bay Holiday Park:
