10 Best Isle Of Wight Hot Tub Holidays - Glamping, Cottages And Lodges With Hot Tubs 2024
Why wouldn't you want an Isle of Wight hot tub holiday? Not only do you get the glorious novelty of having a bubbly bath outdoors, but you also have the freedom to break wind without anyone noticing. And you get to hold a champagne flute whilst saying things like "ahhhhhhhh, this is the life" and "well, this is very civilised, isn't it?".
We've chosen 10 of the best Isle of Wight hot tub holidays including glamping holidays with hot tubs, self-catering cottages with private hot tubs and luxury lodges with hot tubs.
For our price comparison, we looked for the cheapest accommodation available with a private hot tub or jacuzzi for a week in early August 2024. Bear in mind that some of the accommodation is for couples or families of four, whilst some is for a party of 16 people, so the price isn't really comparable.
There are generally cheaper options at holiday parks if you want accommodation without a hot tub, but why are you looking at an Isle of Wight hot tub holiday guide if it's not an absolute holiday essential? Honestly, some people...

1. Woodside Bay Lodge Retreat and Woodside Coastal Retreat (beachside lodges on large holiday park)
There are two posh holiday lodge parks next door to each other in Wootton, which is on the north east side of the Isle of Wight. Woodside Coastal Retreat and Woodside Bay Lodge Retreat are owned by the same company, and both have hot tubs included with several of their lodges.
They both get great reviews from customers of 4/5 or 4.5/5, depending on which review site you check. If you want a sea view, then Woodside Coastal Retreat is your best bet. Woodside Bay Lodge Retreat has slightly newer lodges (including some rather cool treehouses) and is much closer to the restaurant and gym. There isn't a swimming pool onsite, but Ryde isn't far away with its rather nice community-run pool with a retractable roof that opens up on warmer days.
The beach at the park is shingly rather than sandy, so you won't be building sandcastles but it is ideal for an early morning stroll when you'll start plotting how you can rearrange your life so you can live by the sea.
Fact fans will like to know that the two parks are around the site where Bob Dylan famously came out of exile to perform in front of 150,000 people at the 1969 Isle of Wight Festival.
Price: £1469 for a two-bedroom lodge with a hot tub at Woodside Bay Lodge Retreat for a family of four for a week in August 2024. Woodside Coastal Retreat was more expensive at £1895 but I'd check both prices as it depends on availability.

2. Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park (busy, family-friendly beachside holiday park)
**Whitecliff Bay Discount Code: Save 10% via this link with discount code ISLEGURU10 (expires 31/12/24) + cheap ferry travel**
Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park is a good one to choose for an Isle of Wight hot tub holiday if you want endless onsite entertainment and direct access to a sandy beach. For those who don't religiously follow Shane Richie's career, you may also like to know that this holiday park featured in a Channel 5 programme called 'Caravanning with Shane Richie'.
They offer hut tubs with several of their chalets and lodges, and they come with the added bonus of booking the Isle of Wight ferry for you at a considerable discount (sometimes better than half price when I've done some test searches).
The park itself has lots for children to do including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an onsite restaurant, indoor soft play, an outdoor playground, minigolf, an amusement arcade and evening entertainment. They also do outdoor cinema in the summer.
The beach at Whitecliff Bay is sandy and idyllic (apart from the freezing cold seawater) but it does have a ridiculously steep slope leading down to it that requires perseverance and a can-do attitude.
Whitecliff Bay is in the East Wight, just outside of posh Bembridge and not too far from the bucket and spade resorts of Sandown and Shanklin. The famous sands of Alum Bay and the Needles lighthouse are an hour's drive away on the other side of the Island, which is the Isle of Wight equivalent of driving from Land's End to John O'Groats. Don't tell any locals if you attempt that journey, they'll think you've lost the plot and will tell you to put a shovel and blankets in the car, even if it's August.
Price: £1917 for a week in a chalet with a private hot tub for a week in early August 2024 for a family of four. It is sometimes cheaper to arrive on a Friday or Monday than a Saturday so check a few dates (and the ferry is usually a bit cheaper on Fridays too).
Also consider: Parkdean Resorts Landguard Holiday Park and Lower Hyde are sister parks in Shanklin that offer a similar mix of lodges with hot tubs, caravans, swimming pools and kids' entertainment. See #6 for more details.

3. The Bay, Colwell (holiday cottages with hot tubs, sleep 4-6)
**The Bay Colwell Discount Code: Save 10% via this link with exclusive code ISLEGURU10 (expires 31/12/24)**
There are several small holiday cottages with hot tubs to choose from at The Bay, Colwell, which is run by Away Resorts. It's got a communal indoor swimming pool, small restaurant, soft play and tennis court. It averages 4/5 from reviewers.
The local beach at Colwell doesn't have a lot of sand at high tide but it's a popular spot for families. It's also home to a trendy restaurant called The Hut, which is popular with people who have Instagram accounts overflowing with photos of sunsets and cupcakes.
The West Wight is the sleepier and (in my opinion) the prettier side of the Isle of Wight. It's not very convenient for busy resorts like Sandown and Shanklin but it's close to some of my favourite spots such as Freshwater Bay or Compton Bay and it's also close to The Needles and Alum Bay.
The cottages sleep between four and six people.
It is owned by Away Resorts, which offer a generous discount on the Isle of Wight ferry.
Price: £1508 for a family of four staying in a Luxury Cottage with a hot tub for a week in August 2024.

4. The Lakes, Rookley (holiday lodge park with hot tubs)
**The Lakes Rookley Discount Code: Save 10% via this link with exclusive code ISLEGURU10 (expires 31/12/24)**
If you don't mind being inland, then you might consider The Lakes, Rookley, which has a mix of caravans, cottages and posh 'lakehouses' that are a bit like lodges. Some of the cottages and caravans come with private hot tubs.
It scores about 4/5 on review sites. In a former life it was Rookley Country Park but it's had a few upgrades in the last couple of years.
The Lakes has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, evening entertainment, kayaking on the lakes and a restaurant (described as an 'eatery', which Mrs Guru tells me is more casual than a restaurant).
The advantage of its location on a modestly-sized Island is that you can't travel for more than about 25 minutes without driving into the sea. That makes it a good option if you want to see a lot of the Isle of Wight.
This is another holiday resort that can get you a discount on the Isle of Wight ferry. At peak times, it can save you well over £100.
Price: £1488 for a Luxury Caravan with a hot tub for a family of four for a week in August 2024.

5. St. Helen's Coastal Resort (lodge park, 15 minute walk to the beach)
**St Helen's Discount Code: Save 10% via this link with discount code WELCOME10**
St Helen's Coastal Resort isn't as close to the beach as Woodside Coastal and Woodside Bay and it doesn't have the same sea views, but it has the added advantage of offering a simple outdoor swimming pool (which is heated thankfully).
The beaches are about 15 minutes' walk with local options including St Helen's and Priory Bay, both of which are favourites of mine. They offer shallow water for paddling and nice views across to Portsmouth. St Helen's has a water sports place called Tackt-Isle where you can hire kayaks and paddleboards.
It's been upgraded over the last couple of years with new lodges and hot tubs being added. It doesn't offer an abundance of activities, but customer reviews average 4.5/5.
Make sure you get them to book the Isle of Wight ferry for you as it's a lot cheaper than going direct to Wightlink or Red Funnel. St Helen's Coastal Resort is also known as St Helen's Holiday Park.

6. Nodes Point Holiday Park or Lower Hyde Holiday Park (Holiday Parks With Lodges)
**Nodes Point offer: discount Isle of Wight ferry travel**
I've bundled these two Parkdean Resorts holiday parks into one, as they offer a similar thing for a similar price. There's hardly anything between them on review scores (4/5 on TripAdvisor). Nodes Points just about edges it once you add together scores on various review sites.
Both are long-established caravan sites that have recently invested in classy lodges with hot tubs.
That works well for families who want a swimming pool, restaurant and entertainment on site but don't want to be sleeping in a caravan and tripping over each other. Nodes Point has an indoor swimming pool whilst Lower Hyde has an outdoor pool but you can use the indoor pool at nearby Landguard Holiday Park.
Personally, I prefer the location of Nodes Point Holiday Park but hear me out before you make up your mind.
Nodes Point is in St Helens, which is a pleasant and sleepy seaside village with a pub, a village green and not a lot else. However, the holiday park is right next to the beach so you can wander down in an evening or sign up for horse riding on the beach in summer. There's also a watersports centre on the beach called Tackt Isle where you can hire something to fall off. Some of the lodges overlook the beach (albeit from a bit of a distance).
Lower Hyde is in Shanklin, which is a busy resort in summer with a much bigger choice of seafront fun and games. You can play your way round three decent minigolf courses, ride on the mini funfair or eat at a restaurant with a sea view. We like to lose several pounds in the arcade and then gain several pounds at the adjacent ice cream stand. The holiday park is more like 15-20 minutes walk to the seafront, so it's less practical for an evening stroll with children.
There are also some hot tubs at Landguard and Thorness Bay, which are the other members of Parkdean Resorts' Isle of Wight family.
You can get a (very welcome) discount on the Isle of Wight ferry if you book via Parkdean Resorts.
Price: £2489 for a week for a family of four staying in a Tide Lodge with a hot tub at Lower Hyde Holiday Park in August 2024. Nodes Point was slightly more expensive at £2679. The price varied a lot depending on what day of the week you arrived.

7. Buttercup Barn Retreat (self catering/Glamping with hot tub for couples)
Buttercup Barn Retreats in Wootton are ideal for couples looking for a romantic hot tub holiday (wink wink, nudge nudge etc.).
It's described as Glamping, but they're somewhat fancier than a tent with a mattress on the floor. There's a proper kitchen, bed and shower as well as countryside views you can enjoy from your hot tub.
There's more than one at the site but don't worry, you won't be sharing a hot tub with your neighbours...
Price: £984 for two people for a week in August 2024.

8. Rossiter's Vineyard Barns (self catering for 4-6 people with hot tub)
There are several self-catering cottages to rent at Rossiter's Vineyard Barn, which is in a mega-quiet inland part of the West Wight. Three of the cottages come with private hot tubs - Dornfelder, Orion and Rondo (they're named after grapes, in case you're curious).
They sleep between four and six people, and you could obviously rent out two or three of them if you'd rather not share a hot tub with Aunt Maude and Uncle Cecil. The barns are nice and modern with lots of very positive reviews. They're also dog friendly holiday cottages.
Price: £1850 for a two-bedroom cottage with a hot tub for a family of four for a week in August 2024.

9. Tom's Eco Lodges (Glamping with hot tub for up to 8 people)
If you want a proper glamping and hot tub experience on the Isle of Wight, then Tom's Eco Lodges are probably your best bet. They're on the same site as the Isle of Wight Aqua Park, Tapnell Manor and Tapnell Farm Park, where we've wasted many hours on the go-karts and soft play.
Two of the five tents come with 'outdoor wood burning tubs' so make sure you book the right one or you might end up looking enviously at your next-door neighbours whilst they sip on the prosecco. Alternatively, you can pay extra to hire a standard hot tub.
Price: £2624 for a week in early August 2024. It sleeps up to 8 people.

10. Gladice's Barn (self catering for 14 people with hot tub)
Here's another Isle of Wight cottage to consider if you want a big family gathering with a hot tub. Gladice's Barn has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms and is in a very rural and picturesque spot in the South Wight. It's certainly not one for those who want to be in the thick of the action, but then you probably shouldn't be considering an Isle of Wight holiday if you're after a faster pace of life...
It has distant seaviews from the hot tub and a really modern decor with shiny floors that are perfect for sliding around in your socks. It's a little bit of a drive to, well, anything but you can visit my favourite beach - Compton Bay - if you drive for 15 minutes. Alternatively, head to Ventnor for an evening meal on the seafront.
Price: £5039 for a week in August 2024, which is £51 per person, per night if you fill it up.
