3 Best Isle Of Wight Spa Break Hotels And Spa Days 2024
Spa breaks and spa days are an excellent excuse to spend the day in a dressing gown whilst looking at pictures of pebbles. The Isle of Wight has a small number of hotels offering pamper days and luxury spa holidays, some of which also have things like swimming pools, jacuzzis (parp), saunas and steam rooms. Most importantly, some of them include lunch.
Some packages include massages, facials and manicures. Of course, I'm far too uptight and British to enjoy such things but one day I'll get over it and book myself in.
Anyway, here are five options for a spa day or spa break hotel on the Isle of Wight.

Anyway, here are five options for a spa day or spa break hotel on the Isle of Wight.
1. Lakeside Park Hotel Spa
Lakeside Park Hotel Spa is one of the Isle of Wight's more modern and posher hotels. It's in a nice spot overlooking Wootton Creek, which is near to the Portsmouth-Fishbourne ferry.
Customer reviews of the hotel are 4/5 on TripAdvisor and it also tends to be a popular wedding reception venue.
When we checked, they were offering a number of spa packages including 'Bride to Be' spa days, facials and something called an Afternoon Delight.
Treatments available include manicures, pedicures, massages and facials. Packages generally include lunch and allow you to use their swimming pool, jacuzzi/hot tub and sauna.

2. Warner's Bembridge Coast Hotel Spa
**Special Offer: Return car ferry for £60 or less when staying at Bembridge Coast Hotel**
Warner's Bembridge Coast Hotel is a large and well-equipped seafront hotel that tends to be popular with more mature visitors. Customer reviews for the hotel average 4.5/5.
It's in a prime location in the posh village of Bembridge, which claims to be the largest village in England, although about 38 different places all claim the same thing.
Bembridge Coast offers 'spa and wellness treatments' such as 'results-driven facials', 'problem-solving massages', manicures and pedicures. There's an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym on-site, which you can also use.
There's a restaurant onsite where you can get lunch included.
Its main advantage over other Isle of Wight spa days is that it has various other activities, such as archery, bowls and, er, rifle shooting.

3. Royal Hotel, Ventnor and The Cabin
Now bear with me on this one, as you may be aware that The Royal Hotel in Ventnor doesn't actually have its own spa facilities.
However, there is a spa treatment place called The Cabin, which is a five minute walk from The Royal and offers a number of wellbeing packages including massages, reflexology, facials, scrubs and wraps (I'll be honest, I thought a wrap was something they sold in Subway but I'm sure it'll mean something if you're into this sort of thing).
The Cabin's trump card is its location with glorious sea views, which may explain its 5/5 reviews on TripAdvisor.
One option is to stay in self catering accommodation at The Cabin (The Crow's Nest). However, my suggestion for a luxury spa break if you want hotel service is to stay at The Royal Hotel, which offers fine dining and has an outdoor swimming pool and then to book in for treatments at The Cabin.
The downside of course is that you can't really walk through Ventnor in your dressing gown so you'd need to get changed after your treatment rather than spending the whole day swanning round.
Regarding The Royal, the hotel has been listed in every Michelin Guide since 1911 and is probably the poshest hotel on the Isle of Wight. Some of the artists playing at the Isle of Wight Festival stay here.
When people say the word 'traditional' nowadays, they usually mean it as an insult (as in, "you'll have to excuse Grandma, she's got rather traditional views"). However, in the case of The Royal Hotel it is certainly a compliment to say that they take a traditional approach to hospitality. In my experience, and according to most reviewers (4.5/5 on TripAdvisor) staff see hospitality as a career.
Some staff at other hotels see hospitality as something to do during the summer holidays when they'd rather be home playing on their Sega Mega Drive (note to self, update popular culture references).
