Bayclose - Our Holiday Apartment In Freshwater Bay
If you fancy staying in the West Wight, you may like to check out 10 Bayclose, our two-bedroom holiday apartment. It's got lovely views of Freshwater Bay, allocated parking, Wifi and a (sometimes) sunny balcony. You can book it via Classic Cottages, which manages the property.
The two bedrooms include one with a king size bed and views of Freshwater Bay and another with two single beds.
A holiday in the West Wight is ideal if you enjoy walking, cycling and unspoilt crumbly beaches (see our guide to West Wight days out). Personally, I think it's the most beautiful part of the Isle of Wight but there are other contenders depending on what you are after. If you want amusement arcades and sticks of rock then you will probably prefer Shanklin, which is more of a classic seaside resort.
Our flat is on the second floor - and there isn't a lift, so you need to be able to manage about 30 steps. A highchair isn't provided but families are welcome. Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed (this is one of the rules of our lease rather than because we don't like dogs).
The nearest beach to Bayclose is Freshwater Bay, which is five minutes walk away. Compton Bay is a five minute drive and is ideal for bodyboarding, surfing and holding hands with your spouse whilst the sun sets. The Isle of Wight coastal path goes through the field in front of the flat.
