How to bag Premier Inn Isle of Wight rooms for £35-£43

Premier Inn Merrie Gardens is doing some cheap rooms later this year

I'm a big fan of the Hot UK Deals website which has just published a long list of Premier Inn rooms which are available for £35-£43 per night.

Obviously, my mouse went straight to the Isle of Wight deals which include two of the Isle of Wight's three Premier Inn hotels.

The dates which are available at the time of writing include:

Premier Inn Newport:

A little bit of information about the Premier Inn deal

There are three things I would like to you know before booking:

1. Most of the available dates are in the winter. The Isle of Wight is not at its best in winter. Yes, there are things you can do and you will find brochures talking about 'cosy pubs' and 'crisp walks in the winter sunshine' but you may also face 'closed restaurants' and 'torrential rain'. Read our guide to winter days out for some ideas of what you will be able to do. The Isle of Wight weather is a little better than mainland England but don't expect miracles.
   
   
2. The newest Isle of Wight Premier Inn on Sandown Seafront isn't mentioned in the Hot UK Deals list, but I found some availability when I checked dates in November 2023. That hotel has the major advantage of offering sea views, whereas the Merrie Gardens hotel is inland, near to Morrisons. It's not actually in Sandown either, it's in Lake which is next door. It's much easier to park at the Newport and Merrie Gardens hotels than it is at the Premier Inn on Sandown Seafront. 3. Thirdly, the cheapest way to visit the Isle of Wight is often to get a ferry and accommodation bundle. Some accommodation providers get a generous discount and pass on the saving. For example, Warner Hotels in Bembridge and Yarmouth do excellent deals on the ferry. This sort of thing isn't available via Premier Inn (as far as I'm aware), so you will need to book the ferry yourself. You might find that there are better deals once you factor this in.
