10 Best Isle of Wight Holiday Accommodation With Swimming Pools - 2025
Here's our selection of 10 of the best places to stay on the Isle of Wight with a swimming pool. We've mostly just included indoor swimming pools because an outdoor pool is only really pleasant for about six days a year, even in the sun-drenched Isle of Wight (Ed: Sun drenched? Really?).
We've included some accommodation with communal swimming pools such as caravan holiday parks, campsites and hotels as well as Isle of Wight self catering holiday homes and cottages with private swimming pools.

1. Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park, Bembridge (Glamping, Lodges & caravans)
**Whitecliff Bay Discount Code: Save up to 15% via this link with discount code FOMO15 until 11/02/25 + cheap ferry travel**
Caravan holiday parks are a good bet for access to a swimming pool or two.
Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park is one of the bigger and better holiday parks on the Isle of Wight (4/5 on TripAdvisor). It's in a terrific position next to a sandy beach (you'll never guess what it's called) and it has various types of accommodation including mid-priced caravans/chalets and posher lodges with hot tubs. You can get a good discount on the Isle of Wight ferry if you stay at Whitecliff Bay. It's often half price or cheaper.
You're unlikely to have the indoor swimming pool to yourself but it's a good option if you want access to a pool along with lots of other family friendly stuff. In the summer they put on things like outdoor cinema. There's also a good-sized outdoor swimming pool.
Whitecliff Bay was named as the Best Holiday Park at the Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards in 2022. It is a dog friendly holiday park.

2. Nodes Point Holiday Park (caravans and lodges)
**Nodes Point offers: Caravans from £99 + discount Isle of Wight ferry travel**
Nodes Point is one of four holiday parks owned by Parkdean Resorts on the Isle of Wight. They've all got swimming pools of some variety, but Nodes Point is in the best location (in my opinion). It also tends to score slightly higher with customers than the other three (Landguard, Lower Hyde and Thorness Bay).
It is only a couple of minutes' walk to St Helen's Beach, which is a lovely spot at low tide on a summers' evening. During the warmer months you can ride ponies along the beach and flick your hair back like you're in a perfume advert.
The pool has slides, and the holiday park has places to eat and kids' entertainment. You can choose from various grades of accommodation, including caravans and lodges.
Nodes Point scores 4/5 from most reviewers.

3. Lakeside Park Hotel & Spa, Wootton
If you want an Isle of Wight hotel with swimming pool, then take a look at Lakeside Park Hotel & Spa, which is one of the Isle of Wight's bigger and posher hotels. It isn't part of a big chain but it's modern and classy and has an indoor swimming pool. The pool isn't vast but it's big enough and wasn't very busy when we visited.
They offer spa treatments and it overlooks a lake at Wootton Bridge, which is close to the car ferry from Portsmouth.
The hotel has a 'brasserie' with a view, which Mrs Guru tells me is posher than a restaurant.
Lakeside Park Hotel scores 4/5 with customers on TripAdvisor.

4. Bembridge Coast Hotel
**2025 Special Offer: Return car ferry for £90 or less when staying at Bembridge Coast Hotel**
Bembridge Coast Hotel is a large hotel on the east side of the Isle of Wight. It's run by Warner Leisure and tends to be popular with more mature visitors. It's probably best not to organise a stag party at this one.
The swimming pool is indoors and it is one of several other activities on offer. You can try your hand at shooting various things including cross bows, pistols and air rifles as well as tennis and bowls. As you may have guessed, it is in a decent location with a sea view.
Warner Leisure will also book the Isle of Wight ferry for you at a significant discount.

5. The Orchards Holiday Park, Newbridge (Caravans, camping, touring)
The Orchards Caravan Holiday Park has the luxury of indoor and outdoor swimming pools - and it scores 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor at the time of writing.
It's a much quieter and simpler holiday park than resorts such as Whitecliff Bay or Nodes Point. They've got lots of caravans to hire and it's also open to tourers and campers.
If you are bringing your own touring caravan, motorhome or tent then I would look at the ferry + pitch bundle offers at the Orchards. These can be a whopping great saving on standard prices.
Besides the swimming pool, there's a takeaway so you won't have to spend every night cooking in your caravan. They've also got table tennis, which is perfect for starting a family argument.
The Orchards is another one in the West Wight, so it's a bit of a drive to Shanklin, Sandown and Ryde but it's convenient for Freshwater Bay, Compton Bay, Colwell and Totland. Personally, I prefer the sleepier West Wight. Don't just listen to me though, lots of people prefer the East Wight.

6. The Bay, Colwell (self catering Chalets)
**The Bay Colwell Discount Code: Save up to 15% via this link with code FOMO15 until 11/02/25**
The Bay in Colwell is another Isle of Wight holiday resort in the West Wight. It's got a shared indoor swimming pool as well as hot tubs with some of the accommodation.
A few of the newer and more expensive 'beach houses' have lovely sea views towards the beach at Colwell.
You can walk to the beach in about five minutes. Colwell is best visited at low tide when there's a decent amount of sand. At high tide you'll find visitors huddled up against the sea wall as the water gets closer.
Reviews average 4/5 for The Bay Colwell.
One Billy Bonus with The Bay Colwell is that they offer a very good Isle of Wight ferry discount if you stay with them. We found it was about half price if you booked via them rather than direct with the ferry companies.

7. Kingates Farm, Whitwell (self catering cottages)
There are two cottages and a shepherd's hut that share an indoor swimming pool at Kingates Farm. You can arrange 'private use by arrangement' so you won't have to keep bumping into the other guests in your trunks.
The smaller of the two cottages is called The Stables and it sleeps two people whilst the bigger one is called Farm Cottage and sleeps four. They're both pet friendly and get very strong reviews (5/5 when we checked). The third option is a one bedroom Shepherds Hut.
The location is an exceedingly sleepy spot a couple of miles outside of snoozy Niton. It's not right by the sea but you can get to Ventnor seafront in about 10 minutes by car.
All three properties are dog friendly.

8. Nutkin's Lodge and Nutkin's Retreat, Whippingham (self catering chalets)
Yes, I know, this is another outdoor swimming pool but it is heated and open from April to October.
There are two small lodges in the grounds that share the 10m long swimming pool between them.
It's in Whippingham, which is on the eastern side of the River Medina between Newport and East Cowes. Whippingham is not the most exciting place on the Isle of Wight but it is home to Queen Victoria's church and it's less than 10 minutes from Wightlink's ferry, which leaves from Portsmouth.
The cabins/lodges both have one bedroom and sleep two people. The sandy beach at Ryde is about 15 minutes' drive.
You get a 20% discount on the Isle of Wight ferry with this property or you might be able to beat that with a discount code on our ferries guide.

9. Arethusa Cottage Holiday Lodges (self catering cabins)
There are two log cabins that share a swimming pool in the grounds of Arethusa Cottage, just outside of Ryde.
One lodge is called Monktonmead and it sleeps six people whilst the other is Woodside, which sleeps up to four including a sofa bed. Dogs are allowed in the smaller of the two properties.
The cabins are in the grounds of an historic cottage that was the home of an Isle of Wight war hero.
It gets very positive reviews (currently 4.9/5 on Google Reviews). The South England Prestige Awards named Arethusa Cottage Holiday Lodges as Holiday Accommodation Rental of the Year for 2022/2023. This is another property that can get you a discount on the Isle of Wight ferry with Red Funnel and Wightlink.

10. The Lakes, Rookley (lodges and caravans)
**The Lakes Rookley Discount Code: Save up to 15% via this link with code FOMO15 until 11/02/25**
The Lakes, Rookley has a similar vibe to The Bay Colwell (see #4). It has the same owners and offers the same whopping discount on the Isle of Wight ferry.
The biggest difference is that The Lakes Rookley is towards the middle of the Isle of Wight, so you can't walk to the beach. However, it is an excellent base for trying to see a lot of different seaside towns and villages in a week and it has some lovely lakeside lodges. Shanklin and Ventnor are both about 15 minutes away.
There are indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, as well as watersports available on the lake.
The cheaper accommodation is caravans with the option to upgrade to the 'exclusive' properties, some of which have hot tubs.
It's a family friendly resort, which scores 4.1/5 on Google reviews. Entertainment and facilities include a playground, an onsite restaurant and live entertainment on some evenings.
Dogs are allowed at The Lakes, Rookley.
